9 hours per week, every Saturday and rotating Sundays. $8.25/hour, no benefits.

We are looking for a dependable person to work as a page/shelver. This person will:

  • Sort, shelve, relocate, and search for library materials.
  • Read shelves for accuracy of order, re-shelving materials as needed.
  • Straighten library shelves daily or as needed.
  • Provide simple directional information to patrons.
  • Physical work that includes reaching for high shelves and stooping for low shelves and pushing a loaded book cart up to 25 lbs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or requested by library staff.

Must be minimum 16 years of age and available year-round, every Saturday and rotating Sundays.

Generally previous experience is not required, although preference may be given to Evergreen Park residents or people who have done work in the library as a volunteer.
